ART'S PROGRAM
|

The Academy will provide high quality
performing arts instruction in the areas of dance, music
and drama. This enrichment program for developing the
arts will enhance self-esteem and provide a positive outlet
for self-expression. This program will enable the students
to develop and express themselves artistically as well
as creatively.

Dance goals are to increase students'
abilities to express thoughts and feelings through physical
movement.

Music goals are to increase students'
awareness of the significance music plays in one's culture
through history and strengthen their musical skills through
singing and playing instruments.

Theatre goals are to increase students'
abilities to use drama as a means of developing self-expression,
individual creativity and cultural awareness.

Students will develop the ability to perform and to organize
dance ideas and movements creatively. They will also develop
an understanding of dance as an essential component of
history and cultural human experience.
